How to watermark pdf

Frequently asked questions
Why only Latin characters?
Watermark text is drawn with a built-in Helvetica font to keep files small. CJK glyphs require embedding a large font — support is on the roadmap.
Can the watermark be removed later?
It is real page content, like any text. Treat it as a deterrent for drafts, not as cryptographic protection.
What opacity works best?
10–20% reads clearly without hiding the document. Use the tiled layout with low opacity for review copies.
